Staff Server

The Staff Server is located in the Server Room, underneath the desk in the far left corner. It is the black Lenovo tower, that looks similar to a standard desktop.

This server is critical to the operations of our MCA department, holding the financial files for our Market Center. It is only accessible from the Staff Network, and runs programs such as WinMore and AccountEdge for financial transactions.

Papercut

Papercut is our office's printing system, allowing our agents to print, copy, and scan from the copiers around the office locations. This systems allows for staff and agents to track printing usage easily, individually or by team, as well as adding the option to print from phones and tablets.

Both agents and staff can login to the system at papercut.kwoptech.com. The Tech Coordinator and staff have a login for Papercut that will open up the administrator portal. The username is admin and the password is kwoptech.

Front Desk is responsible for entering new agents into the system, as well as removing agents as they leave. The system automatically notifies you, Karla, Adrienne, and Juli of printing usage by emailing a report automatically on the first of each month. The Technology Coordinator's responsibility with the printing system is to install printers and troubleshoot printing issues with agents and staff.

There are three ways to install printers on to computers in our office:
  1. Mobility Print - This is the simplest option, and is recommended for agents who are using their laptops, phones, or tablets as their main device. The printers are shared on the network via AirPrint, and utilize a basic global driver that allows for color and duplex selections. This option should not be used if agents are going to need more advanced printing options, such as printing from the Bypass Tray or selecting more vibrant color options.

There are prewritten pages under the Papercut menu allowing for agents to self-install Mobility Print onto their devices. Please reference these pages to learn the installation process for each device.

  2. Secondary Server Installation without Client - This option is recommended for agents that have standalone PCs that remain in their offices, or for agents who need more robust printing options. Papercut can be installed on these computers so that their computer ties directly to their account, without the need to authenticate each time the user prints.

  3. Secondary Server Installation WITH Client - This is a rare option, and is used for those who work with multiple agents or on a computer where multiple agents are logging in to print (e.g., our public computers in the Tech Room and Tech Bar). This option will pop up a window for our agents to authenticate to Papercut each time they print, by typing in their 6-digit printer code after they hit Print.

Installation instructions and resources for the Secondary Server installation process are on the Printer Installation Page, which can be found by clicking the button below.
